Chad Mooney Bio

Chad Mooney serves as studio manager to Donna Bassin and has collaborated with her on multiple fine art projects since 2015, including her 2020 - 2021 social justice project titled: My Own Witness: Rupture and Repair. Chad is also a commercial and fine art photographer located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Specializing in architecture, environmental portraiture, and landscape photography, his preference of utilizing natural light in his work serves as a means to join the elements of nature with those of the studio.
Chad graduated summa cum laude from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in photography. He has studied under photographers Klaus A. Schnitzer and Stacy R. Morrison.
His photographs have been featured in several group exhibitions including the Morris Museum, New York Center for Photographic Art, and the Bloomfield Cultural Commission. His work has been commissioned by the Grand Lodge of New Jersey of F.&A.M. (Free and Accepted Masons) and the Bloomfield Youth Band, and is also part of several private collections.
When not at work, Chad can be found on a hiking trail, walking alongside a lake, traveling to new and unique places, drawing, or simply enjoying a beverage at a local brewery.
